The River

A Dream is like a River, Ever Changing

Taken from a Garth Brooks Song, “The River” has always struck a chord with me. Our journey though life is ever changing, sometimes the waters are rough. Sometimes it’s smooth sailing. To live it you have to be in it you can’t watch from the shoreline.

It reminds me of a time in my youth some 25 years ago when I canoed the Allagash Wilderness Water Way in Northern Maine 14 days, 150 miles living out of a canoe. The memories still play in my head like a 3D movie. People say its Gods country, when you spend some time there you realize they are right, not only was he the greatest artist but he was the best engineer of all time as well. I have spent much of my life enjoying Gods Artwork, and marveling at his engineering of nature.

This week life’s journey has brought me to The Green Builders of the Triangle meeting. It is funny I have always had “Green” tendencies. I grew up reading Mother Earth News, and Organic Gardening. My Great grand parents who retired to Northern Vermont would give me the old magazines to read when they were done with them. They lived off the land and I have always dreamed that one day I would find that lifestyle. Now it seems that those ideas have taken root nation wide as well as world wide. We have found ways to apply the ideas to city life as well as country living. We are using new technologies and processes as well as many old ones to make changes that will impact us forever. We may never find a way to reverse the effects man has over nature, but I feel these changes will help us find balance and when you look Gods engineering masterpiece the ecosystem you find that balance is what makes it work.

As for The Green Builders of the Triangle meeting, I went as someone with a product to sell. While I was there, I had the feeling that there was a larger purpose for me there, what it is I am not quite sure yet. Dispite that fact I am certin it will be revealed to me in due time. In the mean time I will still represent air & water purification products that we sell.
